As a regular contributor to the Wales Arts Review, Julie is a frequently visitor to theatres around Wales and England. Thanks to the excellent transport links she often travels into Bristol, Bath and London.
‘It’s vital too keep up-to-date with new writing and new performance. I’m lucky to live in South Wales where there is a vibrant theatre scene. Cardiff, Swansea and Newport are producing some of the best theatre in the country. It’s also important to be aware of what’s happening around London, both in mainstream theatre and the fringe. As a theatre critic I find the continual analysis of performance is essential in informing my own work’.
